Miso Soup Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of Bonito Broth (4 cups water + 1 cup packed Bonito Flakes)
  • 3-4 tbsp. Miso Paste
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Seaweed
  • 8 oz. of premium silken tofu (any tofu but premium silken is preferred)

Procedure:

  1. In a pot, add water and bonito flakes. Boil for around 10 minutes, then filter out the solid bonito flakes. Return the broth to the pot.
  2. While waiting for the bonito broth, add some water to the dried seaweed. Once it is hydrated, slice it and slice the tofu into small cubes.
  3. Get 1 cup of the bonito broth and dissolve the miso paste in it. Mix well until fully dissolved. Note: Stop the heat to prevent boiling, which can degrade the nutrients of the miso paste.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients to the pot. If it lacks flavor, adjust seasoning by adding salt to taste.
  5. Serve with your guests.
