Takoyaki Recipe

Here is the one that I personally made :D

Hey there foodies,

Are you a fan of takoyaki? If you are, then you've come to the right place. Today, I'm excited to share with you my personal takoyaki recipe that I have perfected over time.

My love for takoyaki started when I used to order it after my college classes or shifts. But it wasn't until I went to Osaka, Japan with my mother and relatives that I realized how much more appetizing it could be.

Dont mind my irl face >w<;

So I went on a mission to make my takoyaki recipe superior to the Filipino variant. And after some experimentation, I finally found the perfect combination of ingredients.

Here's what you'll need:

Ingredients:
Batter:

1 cup of all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tsp soy sauce
2 cups of dashi

Takoyaki Sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup Ketchup
1/2 cup oyster sauce

Meat and filling:
chopped green onion
beni shoga
Meat (squid, mussels, octopus or etc be creative ehe)

Procedure:
  1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the batter until you get a smooth consistency.

  2. Heat up your takoyaki pan on medium heat and lightly oil the molds.

  3. Pour the batter into each mold, filling them up to about 3/4 full.

  4. Add chopped green onions, beni shoga, and your preferred meat (such as squid, mussels, or octopus) on top of each mold.

  5. Once the bottom of the takoyaki turns golden brown, use a takoyaki pick to flip it over.

  6. Cook the other side until it turns golden brown.

  7. Remove the takoyaki from the pan and repeat the process until you have used up all the batter.

  8. In a small bowl, mix the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and oyster sauce to make the takoyaki sauce.

  9. Drizzle the sauce on top of the takoyaki and serve hot.

With this recipe, you can make your own delicious takoyaki at home that's even better than what you can buy in restaurants. Enjoy!
